August 1986

In August of 1986, Sr. Pastor Dale Jensen founded Saratoga Covenant Life Church. The first service was held in the local firehouse in Eagles Nest, Lake Lonely. A few years later, the name was officially changed to Saratoga Abundant Life Church that we know today. Without the pioneering leadership of Pastor Dale and and his wife Sue, SALC would not be here today.

October 1989

In October 1989, SALC was relocated to our current location on Hutchins Road. The property was small but perfect for the Lord to use to grow into a church family for many years to come. There would be many renovations coming in the future as the Lord began to bring more and more people to join our family.

November 1991

Come November 1991, Pastor Joe and his wife Beverly joined the church family in leadership with Sr. Pastor Dale and his wife Sue. His ordination was a beautiful testament of faith as the church family began to grow larger and larger. These pastors were led by the Holy Spirit daily and helped grow our church into what it is today.

May 1994

May of 1994 began the first large renovation of the worship space and fellowship hall. This was a very large construction project that lasted quite some time but turned out absolutely beautiful. With the help of some faithful and hardworking men and women, the current worship center was born. The size of our church family was growing and it was time for a change.

May 2000

In May 2000, about 6 years after the start of the renovations, the first service in the new Worship Center was held. This was the start of a new era for the church for things like worship, events, retreats, and other things.

June 2007

In June 2007, Pastor Glenn and his wife Jenn joined the church family in leadership with Sr. Pastor Dale and Pastor Joe. His ordination was held on a fun, Hawaiian themed Sunday morning where they asked the Holy Spirit to come alongside of Pastor Glenn as he would one day become Senior Pastor in just a few years.

August 2016

After many years of service and devotion to the body of Christ, Pastor Joe retired in 2013 and Pastor Dale retired in 2015. In August of 2016, Pastor Glenn was commissioned as Senior Pastor of SALC.

Present

Our church body is continually growing and the Holy Spirit moves in great ways as we follow His Spirit and align with His will. We hope to see you walk through our doors and that you would become a part of our church family.

OUR RETIRED PASTORS

FOUNDING PASTOR DALE & SUE JENSEN

Pastor Dale Jensen was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. He dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in 1969. He has started many churches and ministered internationally with Youth With A Mission. Pastor Dale and his wife Sue moved to NY in 1983, following the Lord’s leading, and became the pioneering leaders of Saratoga Abundant Life Church in August 1986. Dale & Sue retired from full-time ministry in 2015, and moved to North Carolina where Dale writes a blog on matters of faith, and he and Sue spend time with their children and grandchildren.

PASTOR JOE & BEV GALARNEAU

Pastor Joe Galarneau was born and raised in Cohoes, New York. He dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in 1977. Pastor Joe became the Associate Pastor at Abundant Life Church in 1991. Pastor Joe and his wife, Beverly, were part of the original five couples that started Abundant Life Church in August 1986. He and Bev retired from full time ministry in September 2013. Pastor Joe mentors men and he and Bev continue to have a small group at their home.
